Function: Issues real estate tax statements every six months. Any special assessments or liens placed on your property will come from a statement through their office.

Function: Can provide other property tax information and would be the place to apply for homestead or military tax exemptions, etc. Also property tax abatements go through that office after being approved by the City of Carter Lake.

Function: Can provide information on the current owner of a particular piece of property if you have the address or legal description. They are also the election office to register to vote or fill out an absentee ballot rather than doing it through the mail. Also the Pottawattamie County Supervisor's office is located adjacent to them, and has the same phone number.

Function: Is where you would record deeds or other legal documents as required.

Office: Clerk of Court
Phone: (712) 328-5604
Function: Is where you would pay your court fines or traffic tickets. Also the courtrooms are located there and if you are called for jury duty that is where you would report. The sheriff's office is also located there along with the jail. The attorney's office is at (712) 328-5649.
